I spent more than a week at Shepp Ranch, not enough time. There are probably only a handful of places in the world where it all comes together like Shepp .. immersion in the wilderness , good comfortable shelter, excellent food , and attentive care by staff. Growing up near the ocean and lakes, this was my first river experience, and let me tell you, I fell head over heels…
It’s true about the food; everything is made from scratch. It is delicious and bountiful and you don’t leave the table feeling hungry. Lynne and Mike , the gracious hosts/managing team, make you feel very much at home. Though one has to travel a bit to get to Shepp Ranch, which is part of it’s allure, once there, I can guarantee you that it is worth the trip.
